• Pre-curved shoulder plates are directly attached to the large center plate which runs down the entire length of the chest protector. The large plate not only disperses impacts but also presents a great surface for deflecting balls.
• Although this is a plated chest protector, it has been designed to provide a wrap around feel.
• All plates on the body of the chest protector are either riveted together or connected with a durable coated nylon band of material. When plates are impacted, no one plate will take the entire impact. Instead, the force will be transferred throughout the rest of the chest protector for the best protection. All rivets used are stainless steel and rust proof.
• Chest protector measures as a 14 inch design but protects the ribs like a 15 inch because the plates extend downwards, following the curvature of the rib cage.
• Two long strips of UltraCool multi layer padding run up the sides and over the shoulders of the chest protector. The padding is removable and machine washable. Padding is also creates a large air gap which runs up behind the main chest plate to provide maximum air circulation.
• The harness is an umpire specific DeltaFlex four point adjustable harness. A neoprene center triangle connects all the harness straps, evenly distributes pressure, and keeps the chest protector snug and secured in place.
